For property owners, weed control and weed removal can be some of the most unpleasant and time-consuming parts of lawn maintenance, so it is vital to establish weed control services regularly to protect the health and longevity of your residential or commercial property. We specialize in spraying large areas for weeds and Japanese knotweed eradication. Japanese knotweed is an invasive plant which can seriously damage buildings and construction sites if left unchecked. We understand that the plant cannot be dug out of the ground, as it’s so difficult to eliminate all of the roots effectively. If a part of its roots is missed in the process, it will rapidly regrow.

How do I know if I’ve got it?

Japanese knotweed starts growing from early spring which can extend up to 3m in depth and 7m in all directions.
According to Defra, look for:

  • fleshy red tinged shoots when it first breaks through the ground
  • large, heart or spade-shaped green leaves
  • leaves arranged in a zig-zag pattern along the stem
  • a hollow stem, like bamboo
  • dense clumps that can be several metres deep
  • clusters of cream flowers towards the end of July that attract bees
  • dies back between September and November, leaving brown stems

For Japanese weed eradication, we ensure that all appropriate legislation is followed when using herbicides. Our strategic weed management services include both pesticide application and weed removal from your grass. We offer weed spraying services that can eliminate multiple varieties of unwanted weeds in your yard. Our goal is to protect and preserve the health and longevity of your land through a complete analysis of your property to identify the existing types of weeds and developing a safe removal and treatment strategy. Contact treatments are made at peak germination periods of broadleaf weeds. The control product must contact the leaf surface of the plant to be effective. The products we used are tested and pesticide application is done by licensed, trained professionals.

Some types of common lawn weeds include:

1. Broadleaf Lawn Weeds- these are weeds that are not “grass-like”. Examples include dandelion, clover, and chickweed.
2. Grassy Lawn Weeds- grasses such as crabgrass, foxtail and orchard grass that create an uneven look to lawns and take resources from the desirable grass.
